About these terms

These terms apply to your use of perapalace.ae (the “Site”) and to reservations, private dining and dining at Pera Palace, The Village Mall, 74 Jumeirah Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Pera Palace”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site or making a reservation you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

Reservations

• Reservations are taken by telephone on +971 4 337 5656 or in person. A reservation is confirmed only once you receive a confirmation from us or from SevenRooms.
• Tables are held for 15 minutes after the reserved time. If you are running late, please call us; after 15 minutes we may release the table to waiting guests.
• Please let us know of any change in party size as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate it, but seating is subject to availability.
• Groups of eight or more may be asked for a card guarantee or deposit and may be offered a set menu. These conditions are stated at the time of booking.
• Tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book, so that the kitchen can prepare for your visit.

Cancellations and no-shows

You may cancel or amend a reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the reserved time, using the link in your confirmation or by calling us. Where a booking has been guaranteed with a card, late cancellations and no-shows may incur the fee per guest stated at the time of booking.

Private rooms and events

Private rooms and event bookings are confirmed in writing and may require a deposit and a minimum spend, which are set out in your event confirmation. Final guest numbers are due 72 hours before the event and form the basis of the final invoice. Cancellation terms for events are stated in the event confirmation and take precedence over the general terms above.

At the restaurant

• Our dress code is smart casual.
• Children are welcome. We ask parents to keep them seated and supervised, for the comfort and safety of all guests.
• Food and drink from outside may not be consumed in the restaurant, with the exception of celebration cakes agreed in advance, for which a service charge may apply.
• Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is permitted only in designated areas.
• We reserve the right to refuse admission or service, and to ask guests whose behaviour affects others to leave.
• We are not responsible for personal belongings left unattended in the restaurant or car park.

Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai, to guests aged 21 and over, and only within the licensed premises. Our team may ask for valid photographic identification and may decline to serve alcohol at their discretion.

Menu, prices and allergens

• Prices are quoted in UAE Dirhams (AED) and include VAT at 5%. Any applicable municipality fee or service charge is shown on the menu and on your bill.
• Menus and prices on the Site are indicative and may change without notice. Dishes depend on seasonal availability.
• Our kitchen handles nuts, sesame, gluten, dairy, eggs and other allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any dish is entirely free from them. Please inform your server of any allergy before ordering.
• Grilled meats are cooked to order. Unless you ask otherwise, cooking times and the degree of doneness follow the chef’s recommendation.

Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards and cash in AED. Where a deposit has been paid, it is deducted from the final bill. Receipts are available on request.

Photography and filming

You are welcome to photograph your table. Please be considerate of other guests and do not photograph or film them without their consent. Pera Palace occasionally photographs events and the dining room for its own publicity; tell a member of the team if you would prefer not to appear.

Use of the Site

• The Pera Palace name, emblem, photography and all text on the Site belong to Pera Palace or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
• You may not use the Site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or that attempts to gain unauthorised access to it.
• We take care to keep the Site accurate and available but do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or interruptions.

Third-party services

The Site includes services provided by others, including Matterport for the virtual tour, Tripadvisor and social media platforms. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

Liability

We will provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability in connection with a reservation is limited to the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
